Starting your career in children's social care means there is a lot to learn so we will provide a 4 weeks full induction and training period to ensure you... are properly supported.

Working Hours
Our children and young people need care 24/7 so we have fixed rotas with different shifts (8, 10 and 12 hours) from 8.am to 10pm for day staff; and from 9pm to 8.30 for night staff.
On average, you will be working 40 hours a week, so meaning if you work 4 shifts of 10 hours each, you will then get 3 days off.
For some locations such as Islington and Ealing, you will be required to do an average of 2 sleep-ins per week paid at £50 each.
There is always the possibility to do overtime if you need a bit extra, this is paid time and half same as bank holidays.
We are offering different options for this role:
• 20/23 hours per week (including weekends and bank holidays)
• 40 hours per week (including weekends and bank holidays)
Location
Our locations cover: Islington (N7), Ealing (W13) and Balham (SW12).

Starting your career in children's social care means there is a lot to learn so we will provide a 4 weeks full induction and training period to ensure you... are properly supported.

Working Hours
Our children and young people need care 24/7 so we have fixed rotas with different shifts (8, 10 and 12 hours) from 8.am to 10pm for day staff; and from 9pm to 8.30 for night staff.
On average, you will be working 40 hours a week, so meaning if you work 4 shifts of 10 hours each, you will then get 3 days off.
For some locations such as Islington and Ealing, you will be required to do an average of 2 sleep-ins per week paid at £50 each.
There is always the possibility to do overtime if you need a bit extra, this is paid time and half same as bank holidays.
We are offering different options for this role:
• 20/23 hours per week (including weekends and bank holidays)
• 40 hours per week (including weekends and bank holidays)

Shifts: 08:00 – 16:00 & 15:00- 23:00 with an average of 2 sleep-in shifts per week until 7am, including weekends and bank holidays
2 weekends off per month
Sleep-ins: £50 / Overtime and Bank holidays paid time and half

About the Role
As an Experienced Children's Residential Practitioner, you will provide direct support and care for young people aged 12 to 17 years. Our young people have complex emotional and mental health difficulties (such as trauma and loss) and often struggle to regulate their emotions. Working within a therapeutic framework, you will develop a direct programme of work aimed at building life skills, develop a... restorative learning approach to behaviour and manage their own safety within the community.

What are we looking for?
• Desirable Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent (i.e. Level 3 Diploma Children and Young People Workforce with the children's social care pathway).
• Minimum of 1 years’ experience working and supporting Young People to achieve their full potential, ideally in a residential setting.
• Ability to build and promote trusted relationships while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Experience of achieving outcomes as part of working in a service and the records which evidence that.
• A working knowledge of key legislation regarding Safeguarding practices relating to children and young people
• Understanding of the issues experienced by young people such as bullying, gangs, radicalisation, self-harm, sexual exploitation and how these impact on behaviour.
• Creativity, enthusiasm and energy to inspire and encourage young people to achieve great things.
